Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 16 July 2026
These terms govern your use of ParentPulse — the website, the mobile app, and the check-in services (together, the “Service”), operated by ParentPulse. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.
1. What ParentPulse is — and is not
ParentPulse is a daily check-in and peace-of-mind service: we contact your parent at a scheduled time by automated call, missed-call number, or WhatsApp, and show you whether they confirmed they are okay.
ParentPulse is NOT a medical service, an emergency-response service, or a substitute for caregivers, doctors, or emergency numbers. A missed check-in does not necessarily mean something is wrong, and a confirmed check-in does not guarantee wellbeing. In any emergency, contact local emergency services (such as 112 in India) immediately. Do not rely on ParentPulse to detect or respond to emergencies.
2. The SOS relay feature
SOS lets the person receiving check-ins signal your family that they need help — by a missed call to a dedicated number or a keypress on a check-in call. SOS is included free in every plan. When an SOS is confirmed, we notify the family members on the dashboard and, if no one acknowledges it within a few minutes, place calls to the emergency contacts you have added.
SOS is a family notification relay, not an emergency-response service. We do not dispatch ambulances, contact authorities, or operate a staffed response desk. Delivery of SOS alerts depends on mobile networks, telephony providers, and your devices, and is not guaranteed. SOS does not replace calling 112 or other emergency services.
3. Eligibility & account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information about yourself and the person you add for check-ins.
4. Consent of the person receiving check-ins
- You confirm that you have the knowledge and consent of the person you add before we begin contacting them.
- On the first call we ask for their consent directly and record that confirmation. If they decline, the Service will not contact them.
- They may withdraw consent at any time, which stops all check-ins to them.
5. Service reliability
We work hard to deliver every scheduled check-in and SOS alert, including automatic retries and logging of every call attempt. However, telephony and messaging depend on mobile networks, telecom operators, and third-party providers we do not control. We do not guarantee that every call or message will be delivered or on time, and you should not treat the Service as fail-safe.
6. Subscriptions & billing
- Plans are billed monthly in advance via Razorpay (UPI, cards, netbanking; international cards for overseas customers).
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice; founding-member pricing commitments will be honoured as advertised.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
7. Acceptable use
- Use the Service only to check in on people who have consented.
- Do not use the Service to harass, monitor, or surveil anyone against their wishes.
- Do not trigger SOS alerts for testing or as a prank; repeated misuse may lead to suspension.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, logo, and content, belongs to ParentPulse. You receive a limited, non-transferable licence to use the app and website for their intended purpose.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ParentPulse is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including harm arising from missed, delayed, or failed check-ins, SOS alerts, or notifications. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policyexplains how we handle your family’s data and forms part of these terms.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time (see Delete your data). We may terminate or suspend the Service for breach of these terms, with notice where practicable.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you hold in your place of residence.
