Do my parents need a smartphone?+
No. Voice-call and missed-call check-ins work on any phone, including a basic feature phone. WhatsApp is simply another option.
Which languages will ParentPulse support?+
We launch in India with Hindi first. Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Punjabi, Gujarati and more can follow based on family demand. The experience is designed to expand internationally later.
What happens when they do not check in?+
ParentPulse retries gently and allows a grace window. If there is still no response, you receive a clear alert and can contact your parent or a trusted local person.
Is SOS an emergency-response service?+
No. It relays a parent’s signal to family and saved contacts. It does not dispatch an ambulance or replace emergency number 112.
Will this feel intrusive?+
The ritual is tiny, predictable and consent-based: one action at a time parents choose. It is reassurance, not surveillance.
